A Century of Legacy: The Dixon- Tucker Story

The Dixon-Tucker Family Reunion was organized by Almeda Dixon Lee, the youngest daughter of Patrick and Cornelia Dixon and her sister-in-law, Mary Flenoury Dixon in 2000 to celebrate the life and legacy of Patrick Henry Dixon and his wife, Cornelia Tucker Dixon.  As a daughter and daughter-in-law of Patrick and Cornelia, Almeda and Mary, felt strongly that they had learned valuable lessons at the hands of Patrick and Cornelia and wanted to share these lessons and their love of family with subsequent generations.

The name "Dixon-Tucker Family Reunion" is a spin off of Patrick Henry Dixon and Cornelia's maiden name, Tucker.  Therefore, the descendants of Charles Dixon (Father of Patrick Dixon) and his first wife, Frances Logan Dixon plus the children born of his second marriage to Mollie Logan are included in his blood line.

Frances Dixon was the mother of Patrick and Marie.  Mollie Dixon was the mother of Patrick's other siblings, Earl, Raleigh, Elvyn, Willard and Lizzie.  Cornelia's parents were Wade Tucker and Eliza Green Tucker.  The siblings of Cornelia were William Armstead, Kit, Nannie, Martha, John, Christopher, Albert and Wesley.  Included in this bloodline are all the brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren and cousins of Patrick and Cornelia Dixon.

Therefore, the roots of the Dixon-Tucker Family run deep and wide.
